Suggested fabrics: Use lightweight woven fabric such as shirting, rayon challis, chambray and lightweight linen. The gathers on the garment are more pronounced if using a crisper fabric and less pronounced if using a softer fabric; choose based on your preference. The sleeve is cut in one piece; if the fabric is one- directional, it will be upside down in the back.

Fabric requirements: 54" (135 cm) wide fabric: 1 3/8 - 2 5/8 yd (120 - 240 cm).

Sizing: US 00 – 40 with regular and full bust options (approx. UK 6/8 – 34/36, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

A note from the designer about bust options: To determine if you should use the regular bust front pieces or the full bust front pieces, subtract the circumference of your over bust from the circumference of the fullest part of your bust. If the rounded difference is 3″ (7.5 cm) or less, use the regular bust. If the rounded difference is more than 3″ (7.5 cm), use the full bust.

PDF pattern includes: Step-by-step illustrated instructions; US letter/A4 print-at-home pattern (35 pages for sizes 00-20, 47 pages for sizes 16-40, but you only need to print the pages for your bust size); A0 copy shop pattern (2 sheets for sizes 00-20, 4 sheets for sizes 16-40, but you only need to print the sheets for your bust size) // Layers: Yes // Projector file: No.

Great pattern - Lemont Top

I absolutely love this pattern.  It's quite an unusual pattern but very easy to sew.  I make lots of clothes for myself and most I never wear but this top is different.  I tried it on once finished and kept it on for the rest of the day.  The fit is great and it feels and hangs beautifully.  I will be making this pattern many more times.

Simple but interesting!

The Lemont top is simple to sew, but still has some slightly different features.

The front and back side panels of the princess seamed bodice and the sleeves are all cut in one big pattern piece, which gives the top an interesting shape. It also makes it a great pattern for ginghams, checks and stripes because they show of the side panels well as they're on the bias where they meet the centre front and back.

The instructions were really detailed and easy to follow, and they're accompanied by clear diagrams. I didn't have any trouble when I was sewing my top.

I made the size recommended for my body measurements and it turned out nicely - it's comfortable to wear without being too oversized. The only adjustment I made was to lengthen the top, which is a standard adjustment for me.

I'd happily recommend this pattern - it's fun to sew and lovely to wear!
