Buy the Cartagena Cami sewing pattern from Itch to Stitch. Sometimes you just need a base layer for your outfit to keep yourself modest, and the Cartagena Cami is ideal for that purpose. Designed for soft knit fabric such as rayon spandex, the Cartagena is very fitted, acting as a comfortable second skin that you barely notice. And it can of course be worn on its own or as part of a sleeping ensemble too!

Finally a Cami That Fits!!!!

I have a really hard time with camis - I have a ridiculously long torso, a large bust and a mum tum which means ready to wear camis never fit. They ride up from their already too short length and feel awful. The problem is I love a cami as an added layer of warmth on a cold winter day, or a bit of security under a v-neck that might be a bit low or just a fun layering piece. I was so happy to try out the Cartagena Cami from Itch to Stitch (sized in her usual range from 00-20) and find that with no other effort than adding a bit of length, I was able to sew up a new cami in next to no time at all. The Cartagena features straps and neckline bindings from FOE (fold over elastic) but don't worry the pattern gives you the measurements so there's no guess work at all. I love how I can use up leftover fabric from other projects to fill my wardrobe with camis of all colours and descriptions.
