Suggested fabrics:

Primary fabric: Use lightweight to medium weight knit fabric with 50%-60% stretch and very good recovery. Rayon spandex (with 6% or more spandex content) and double-brushed poly are good choices.

Lining: Use lightweight knit fabric with 50%-60% stretch and very good recovery. Swimsuit lining is a great choice. It is acceptable to use the same fabric as the primary fabric.

Fabric requirements: 54" (135 cm) wide fabric: Primary fabric, 2 5/8 - 5 1/8 yd (240 - 460 cm) // Lining, 1/8 yd (10 cm).

Sizing: US 00 – 40 (approx. UK 6/8 – 34/36). Please check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

Sizes 00-20 have A, B, C, D and DD cups. Sizes 22-40 have B, C, D and DD cups.

A note from the designer about bust cup options: To determine your cup size, subtract the circumference of your over bust from the circumference of the fullest part of your bust. If the rounded difference is 1" (2.5 cm), use A cup; 2" (5 cm), use B cup; 3" (7.5 cm), use C cup; 4" (10 cm), use D cup; 5" (12.5 cm), use DD cup.

Notions: 40" (102 cm) of 3/8" or 1/2" (1 cm or 1.25 cm)-wide straight fusible stay tape (or you may cut your own using lightweight woven fusible interfacing on the straight grain) // Optional: 1/4" or 3/8" (6 mm or 1 cm) clear elastic as long as your waist.

PDF pattern includes: Step-by-step illustrated instructions; US letter/A4 print-at-home pattern (53 pages for sizes 00-20, 56 pages for sizes 16-40, but you only need to print the pages for your size and bust cup); A0 copy shop pattern (3 sheets for sizes 00-20, 5 sheets for sizes 16-40, but you only need to print the sheets for your size and bust cup) // Layers: Yes // Projector file: No.

Autumn Antrim Dress

Itch to Stitch describe this dress as a 'fit-and-flare knit dress with cup sizes and pockets, in other words a functional, comfortable and flattering dress all in one' and I couldn’t agree more!

As someone with a large bust and small sized hourglass shape, I find this style nigh on impossible to fit me on the high street, let alone in colours I adore. So for me, this is absolutely what sewing my own clothes is all about.

I absolutely LOVE the fit and style of this dress and can highly recommend this brilliant pattern. My fabric is a viscose jersey from Lulou Designs - it's a lovely quality and has a wonderful drape.

I made a size 4D graded to a 2 at the waist and hips and I'm 37",28",39", 28GG, and 5'4". I also made the sleeves full length (which isn't an option on the pattern, but is easy to do).
