I AM Patterns Cléopâtre Dress and Top

Buy the Cléopâtre Dress and Top sewing pattern from I AM Patterns. I am Cléopâtre, a pleated dress and top. I am very comfortable to wear thanks to the pleated fabric which gives me a lot of ease. My neckline is inspired by Cleopatra’s neckpieces. The pleated fabric swings delicately from my neckline, and I feature American armholes. I am both very chic and easy to wear.

Suggested fabrics: 

Neckline yoke: Medium weight fabrics like poplin, wax, chambray.

Body: Pleated fabric. Pleated fabric is sold either in panels with vertical pleats (running parallel to the selvedge) or by the metre with horizontal pleats (running perpendicular to the selvedge). Fabric requirements and layouts are included for both types. Note this pattern is only suitable for pleated fabric - it doesn't have enough ease for non-pleated fabric.

Fabric requirements: 

Yoke: 140 cm (55″) or 110 cm (43″) wide fabric: 50 cm (1/2 yd).

Vertical pleated fabric:

Body A: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: 95 - 100 cm (1 - 1 1/8 yd) // 110 cm (43″) wide fabric: 95 - 180 cm (1 - 2 yd).

Body B: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: 70 - 75 cm (3/4 - 7/8 yd) // 110 cm (43″) wide fabric: 70 - 125 cm (3/4 - 1 3/8 yd).

Horizontal pleated fabric:

Body A: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: 110 - 140 cm (1 1/4 - 1 1/2 yd) // 110 cm (43″) wide fabric: 110 - 140 cm (1 1/4 - 1 1/2 yd).

Body B: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: 65 - 80 cm (3/4 - 7/8 yd) // 110 cm (43″) wide fabric: 110 - 140 cm (1 1/4 - 1 1/2 yd).
