My first trousers fit!

This pattern was my first venture into making trousers . The instructions and sizing were spot on and the 1″ seam allowance on the side seams allowed for easy fitting. I made a quick toile of the front and back pieces and was feeling confident about fit so I just went for it cutting out my jumbo corduroy. The only change I made after trying them on with the waistband pinned on was taking the waist in a little bit. I have read a lot of posts on IG about trouser making and adjustments, so was a little trepidation about this new venture. So when they fitted I wandered if it was just luck or a very well drafted pattern. I made the overalls with funky straps, but can see myself making some trousers now too in maybe a linen. I made a size 6, took the waist in a little and used bias binding on the hems as I am 5ft 6″ and didn’t want them too cropped . A great pattern and lots of new techniques like a lapped zip were easy with the super instructions. Yippee I made trousers that fit better than any I have bought.
