Good pattern, something different in a Tee

It was the first time I had used this brand and I went for size D based on the charts.

The pattern is thoroughly drafted with instructions for lengthening/shortening and a full essay about knit fabrics and twin needles.

It has a quarter inch seam allowance with the expectation that it will be made with an overlocker. It worked perfectly well on a regular sewing machine with a narrow seam and overcasting.

With the side panels and neckband, the pattern is good for colour blocking and I had a panel of Frida cotton jersey measuring just over a metre.

Looking at the fabric requirements, I was prepared to make the short sleeved version but, in my size, and by ignoring the cutting layouts which wouldn't have worked on the panel anyway, I got style B out of the fabric with enough over for at least one bonus pair of knickers.

I love my new Tee and have had great comments. The panels come in two other colourways. Fabrics Galore has them at time of writing, so I am tempted!

French Navy Tarifa Tee

Great pattern with a unique construction.

The side panels and the square design of the sleeves are adding amazing details to the populair T-shirt.

The instructions are well written, clear and illustrated.
