Buy the Basics Tunic sewing pattern from Folkwear. This easy-sew tunic pattern features a handkerchief hem, side vents, and dolman, three-quarter length sleeves. The fit is roomy and loose, making a comfortable and stylish piece to wear over leggings or jeans. The high neckline is closed in the back with a hook-and-eye at the slit. Gorgeous in silk for a dressy look or perfect in a rumpled linen, this tunic can be an everyday piece to wear again and again.

Suggested fabrics: Lightweight fabric with some drape: linen, rayon, silk, cotton batiste, voile, velvet.

Fabric requirements: Yardages given are with or without nap, pile, or one-way design.

Note: Pattern pieces will not fit on 45" (115 cm) wide fabric. Sizes XS - L will fit on 54" (137 cm) wide fabric; yardage is same as below.

60″ (150 cm) wide fabric: 2 3/8 - 2 3/4 yd (2.2 - 2.5 m).

Sizing: XS – 3XL (approx. UK 4/6 – 28/30, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Thread; one hook-and-eye.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; US letter/A4 print-at-home pattern (35 pages); 36″ wide copy shop pattern (1 sheet); A0 copy shop pattern (2 sheets).
