Buy the 102 Unisex French Cheesemaker's Smock sewing pattern from Folkwear. This roomy pullover style is traditional garb for cheesemakers in Roquefort, France, and a comfortable smock for your studio or daily outings. It's a popular choice for Medieval and Renaissance re-enactors, as well as for making an everyday tunic-style shirt. Sized for men and women, this easy-sew smock features a shoulder yoke, front placket, simple narrow buttoned neckband, and optional underarm gussets. The sleeves are gathered at the wrist into a buttoned band cuff.

Suggested fabrics: Crisp medium-weight fabrics such as gingham, broadcloth, muslin, linen, silk, lightweight corduroy. Traditional smocks have small blue and white checks.
Fabric requirements: 36" (91 cm) wide fabric: 3 1/8 - 3 1/2 yd (2.9 - 3.2 m) // 45" (115 cm) wide fabric: 2 1/2 - 2 5/8 yd (2.3 - 2.4 m) // 54" (140 cm) wide fabric: 1 7/8 - 2 1/4 yd (1.75 - 2.05 m).
Sizing: Women's US 6 - 18 (approx. UK 4/6 - 14) and men's 32 - 46. Please check the size chart (US 6 - 18 only) and finished garment measurements.
Notions: Three buttons for neckband and wrists.
