Buy the Rika Dress sewing pattern from Fibre Mood. Rika features not just one, but two huge fashion trends: leather(ette) and balloon sleeves. This dress is straight, short, and has a round, gathered neckline. If you prefer a more defined and tailored silhouette, simply belt the waist. The raglan bracelet sleeves, with pretty gathers around the thin wrist trim, are head-turners, but the patch pockets are entirely up to you. Rika fastens discreetly at the back with a hook and eye. In short, the possibilities are endless! Not a huge fan of puffs? Choose a fluid drape fabric to create a more understated, less voluminous look.

Fabric requirements: 

Dress: 110 cm wide fabric: 270 - 435 cm // 140 cm wide fabric: 190 - 295 cm.

Top: 110 cm wide fabric: 180 - 295 cm // 140 cm wide fabric: 125 - 210 cm.

To make a top, shorten pattern pieces 1 and 2 to the indicated or desired length.

Sizing: XS – XXXL (approx. UK 6 – 28/30, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and pattern measurements.

Notions: Thread; iron-on interfacing, max. 25 cm; 1 hook-and-eye closure.
