Suggested fabrics: Make Bertha in wide-wale or pincord cotton corduroy. Light wool (with a checked pattern) or denim (cotton) also work well with this pattern. Choose a fabric that has enough drape. If you decide to go with corduroy or denim, don’t forget to wash your fabric before you start cutting, as these fabrics have a tendency to shrink lengthwise.

Fabric requirements: 140 cm wide fabric: 135 - 230 cm // 146 cm wide check fabric: 150 - 245 cm // 147 cm wide corduroy fabric: 140 - 230 cm.

Sizing: EU 32 – 50 (approx. UK 6 – 20). Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Thread; closed-end zipper: 14 cm (sizes 32-40), 16 cm (sizes 42-44), 19 cm (sizes 46-50); 1 snap, 2.1 cm diameter; iron-on interfacing, 35 cm.

PDF pattern includes: Step-by-step illustrated instructions; A4/US letter print-at-home pattern (31 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (2 sheets).

Note: Seam allowances are included in this pattern. The copy shop file we print for you shows the cutting lines only (not cutting lines and stitching lines) to make it easier to know what size to cut out.
