Buy the Fleur Dress and Blouse sewing pattern from Fabric Godmother. This pretty and versatile pattern has a loose fit, bias finished neckline, and optional sleeves. The playful bow ties and gathered peplum or skirt add an element of fun, while a secret placket stops you showing more than you might want to between the bows! Made in a lightweight cotton or linen this is the perfect summer dress or blouse. You can also use a heavier weight fabric and wear the sleeveless version as a pinafore dress in cooler weather.

This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following formats:

Suggested fabrics: Fabrics with a bit of body such as cotton poplin, linen and lightweight denim will give this garment the structure needed to show off the bows and peplum. For a fancy version, use a sparkly brocade. Or use a denim or cord to make a winter version.

A fun and easy make

I'm on my third FG Fleur blouse/dress since it's released, and I love seeing this up, and love the final fit! My next make is for my mum and I hope she loves it as much as I do!

What's not to love

Fabulous sleeves. On trend tie front and a placket to maintain your modesty. Clear instructions make this a straightforward make.

I love the style. I found the fit to be quite oversized. I made the dress version and had to take in the shoulders as well as the amount of fabric in the skirt and sides. Would recommend a test version before using your good fabric to get the size right! Instructions were very clear and I like the placket design.

I remember when this style was absolutely going off in early 2024 and I was getting ready to draft my own version when lo and behold FG released the perfect pattern. If course I brought it immediately and sewed it up nearly as quick.

It was perfect, the fit is excellent and it was a pretty quick and easy sew. The instructions are good and easy enough to follow. I’ve made 2 so far but will be making more when the summer hits.

Didn't like pattern format. Will not buy from this company again.
