Buy the Frida Blouse sewing pattern from Atelier Jupe. Frida is a romantic blouse with a French touch. It has a gathered front, button placket, elegant collar and three-quarter sleeves with a small inverted pleat. The back also has an inverted pleat for an elegant look.

This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following formats:

– PAPER (next working day dispatch on orders and FREE UK delivery over £50). Note for the PAPER pattern: The pattern pieces overlap and are printed on both sides of the sheet, so you will need to trace the pattern. Made as pyjama top

I printed this at home and made for my daughter as a pyjama top. I made a size 34. Modifications being taking 2 inches off the bottom, omitting the collar for a satin trim facing and omitting the cuffs for elastic instead. It goes perfectly with Atelier Brunette Le Pyjama bottoms and using end of the line cotton sateen from Fabworks. Overall a great make.

Just a classic

Meet my new crush, the Frida Blouse by Atelier Jupe.

I treated myself to a paper copy of the pattern and was surprised to find the pattern pieces overlaying each other, meaning I needed to trace them out, something I had not done in quite a while. But I imagine it goes with their ethos of sustainability, keeping costs down and minimising waste.

The booklet covers several languages and the instructions were perfectly clear, with diagrams to help.

In addition to the instructions I incorporated a lined front yoke to keep everything super neat inside, and not just the lined back yoke that was in the pattern.

To lift my fabric  a little and show off the lovely sweep of the front yoke I included some old gold piping I had left over from a previous make.

I made the size 40 (UK size 12) which was is slightly above my bust measurement. It fits like a glove.

There's loads more detail in my blog post.
