Buy the Buckthorn Backpack and Tote sewing pattern from Noodlehead. You’ll love this zippered top backpack and tote for everyday use. Suggested fabrics: Canvas or waxed canvas (7-10 oz.) for exterior fabric. Quilting cotton for lining.

Looking for a time saver? Use a 7-10 oz. waxed canvas for the exterior, an 8-10 oz. canvas for the lining, and cotton webbing. No need to add interfacing or stabiliser to the exterior or lining. It’s the speediest sew, and sturdy too!
