Buy the Manhattan Blazer sewing pattern from Maison Fauve. This jacket is the centrepiece of the Empire State of Fauve collection. It has a tailored cut with padded shoulders, a bold collar and lapels, and a fashionable length. Choose between welt pockets with a flap or patch pockets with a flap. The blazer is fully lined, with a further secret pocket inside the garment. Terribly chic, no?!

Suggested fabrics: A light wool, fine tweed, Prince of Wales, velvet, soft fabrics 150-300 g/m². As the jacket has a close fit, the designer recommends choosing a slippery lining fabric.

Fabric requirements: 

Main: 140 cm wide fabric: Sizes 34-40, 180 cm // Sizes 42-46, 200 cm // Sizes 48-52, 215 cm.

Lining: 140 cm wide fabric: Sizes 34-40, 130 cm // Sizes 42-44, 140 cm // Sizes 46-52, 160 cm.

Sizing: EU 34 – 52 (approx. UK 6 – 22, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart.

Notions: Pair of shoulder pads, 11 cm long x 1 cm thick; pair of sleeve head ‘cigarettes’; 90 cm of fusible interfacing.
