This week McCall’s launched a new year long sew-along called Cocktail Hour. You might remember the Big Vintage Sew-along last year. This year is set to be even bigger with 26 bloggers taking part and a collection of 20 Vogue® Patterns evening outfits to pick from. Cocktail Hour is being hosted by McCall’s to raise money for The Eve Appeal charity and will run until the Knitting and Stitching Show in Harrogate in November. There will be lots of exciting things happening throughout the year including workshops, events in stores, a fantastic bloggers tour and cocktail parties.
How can you get involved?
You can join in with sewists from all over the country to help raise funds and awareness for The Eve Appeal charity by sewing one of the dressmaking patterns from the Cocktail Hour collection (all 20 patterns are listed below). Monies raised from the sale of each pattern will go towards helping The Eve Appeal achieve better detection and prevention of women’s cancers. You can find out more about the work of The Eve Appeal charity here.
As the year progresses you can see what everyone else is making by searching for #sipandsew (hehe!) on Instagram and Twitter and of course share your makes too. Post a photo with the hastag #sipandsew and copy in @McCallpatternUK on Twitter or @McCallpatternUK on Instagram. Find out more details from McCall’s about Cocktail Hour here.
