Buy the French Dart Shift sewing pattern from Maven Patterns. Designed as a tunic to be worn over jeans or leggings, the French Dart will become the hero of your wardrobe! It features a roll collar, French darts at the front, contour darts at the back, and in-seam pockets. With three sleeve options, it is so easy and versatile to wear, you’ll be reaching for it every day.

Version A has short sleeves. Version B has cap sleeves. Version C has long sleeves.

Suggested fabrics: Light to medium weight denims, chambrays, linen, cotton twills, fine wools, brocade.

Fabric requirements: Repeating patterns, checks, or stripe matching may take more fabric.

Versions A and B: 150 cm wide fabric: One way or two way design, 1.8 m // 115 cm wide fabric: One way or two way design, 2.4 m.

Version C: 150 cm wide fabric: One way design, 2.1 m / Two way design, 1.9 m // 115 cm wide fabric: One way design, 3.1 m / Two way design, 2.8 m.

Sizing: UK 8 – 18 (approx. UK 8 – 16/18, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Fusible interfacing, 20 cm x 10 cm; stay tape, 1 m.
