The Maker’s Atelier Wide-legged Trouser

Buy the Wide-legged Trouser sewing pattern from The Maker’s Atelier. This pattern includes pieces and instructions for a woven tailored trouser and a pull-on jersey trouser, both with a flat front and wide legs. This style sits on the natural waistline, and the finished leg circumference is 56-64 cm depending on size.

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Note if purchasing copy shop printing: Some of the pattern pieces have been split (to fit on the A0 sheets) and will need to be joined together.

Suggested fabrics: 

Woven version: Fluid crepe and fine drill fabrics, superfine baby cord.

Jersey version: Cotton, viscose or bamboo knits with lycra or elastane content.

Fabric requirements: 

Woven version: 115 cm wide fabric: 2.5 m // 150 cm wide fabric: 2.3 m.

Jersey version: 115 cm wide fabric: 2.5 m // 150 cm wide fabric: 2.1 m.

Sizing: 8 – 18 (approx. UK 8 – 16/18, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Woven version: 18 cm (7″) lightweight zip; hook and bar clasp; iron-on woven interfacing, 15 cm strip, 0.85 – 1.1 m // Jersey version: non-roll elastic, 22 mm wide, 0.8 – 1.05 m.
