Buy the Peggy Trousers sewing pattern from Sew Over It. The Peggy Trousers are a classic pair of high-waisted trousers with a paper bag waist. Easy to dress up or down, they are destined to become your new go-to trousers for both work and weekend. They look great with a casual Lucy T-shirt, but they can also be smartened up with a Freia or Pussy Bow Blouse!

With a zip fly at the front, they are elasticated around the side and back waist for comfort, easy fitting, and to create the paper bag effect. The front features dramatic pleats, though otherwise they sit flat across the tummy. The fit is loose through the hips and leg. They feature patch pockets on the back and belt loops at the waist. The legs taper slightly, finishing just above the ankle and you can finish the leg with a cuff or a regular hem.

1.40 m wide fabric: 2.4 – 2.7 m.

Sizes 18 – 30

1.15 m wide fabric (sizes 18 – 24 only): 2.8 – 2.9 m.

1.40 m wide fabric: 2.7 – 2.9 m.

Sizing: UK 6 – 20 and UK 18 – 30 (approx. UK 6 – 20 and UK 20 – 32, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size charts and finished garment measurements.

Notions: 20 cm/8″ regular zip (sizes 6-20) or 23 cm/9″ regular zip (sizes 18-30); 1 m (sizes 6-20) or 1.5 m (sizes 18-30) of 2.5 cm/1″ wide elastic; a 10 mm button; 25 cm (sizes 6-20) or 30 cm (sizes 18-30) of lightweight interfacing.
