Buy the Nomi Dress sewing pattern from Sew Over It. Knit dresses are great to keep you cosy in the colder months, and Nomi can be customised to create a go-to everyday dress or an elegant party dress that’s still super comfy to wear.

Choose between a simple crew neck or the twisted bodice option for a more glamorous look. Both necklines are finished with binding folded to the inside keeping everything nice and neat. When it comes to the length, you can make a simple gathered skirt that falls just below the knee, or add an extra tier to create a midi or maxi dress. Use a plain jersey to keep your Nomi Dress versatile; go for a stylish print for more impact; or opt for something special like a sparkly knit or a luxurious stretch velvet to create a party-ready outfit.

Suggested fabrics: Light to medium weight knit fabrics such as viscose or bamboo jersey or French terry and lightweight cotton jersey.

Fabric requirements: Requirements given are for the maxi length tiered skirt. For the midi tier, subtract 0.6 m from the requirements. For the non-tiered gathered skirt, subtract 1.1 m from the requirements.

Sizes 6 – 20

1.15 m wide fabric (sizes 6 – 16 only): Version 1 or Version 2, 3.5 – 4.3 m.

1.40 m wide fabric: Version 1 or Version 2, 3.0 – 3.8 m.

Sizes 18 – 30

1.40 m wide fabric: Version 1 or Version 2, 4.2 – 4.4 m.

Sizing: UK 6 – 20 and UK 18 – 30 (approx. UK 6 – 20 and UK 20 – 32, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size charts and finished garment measurements.

This pattern is split into two different blocks. The 6 – 20 size range is drafted for a B cup. The 18 – 30 size range is drafted for a D cup.

Notions: 1 m (sizes 6-20) or 1.5 m (sizes 18-30) of 6 mm-10 mm wide elastic; 25 cm (sizes 6-20) or 30 cm (sizes 18-30) of ribbon, clear elastic or stay tape to stabilise the shoulders.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4 print-at-home pattern (37 pages for sizes 6-20, 45 pages for sizes 18-30); US letter print-at-home pattern (38 pages for sizes 6-20, 45 pages for sizes 18-30); A0 copy shop pattern (2 sheets for sizes 6-20, 3 sheets for sizes 18-30).
