With a high, relaxed waistline, voluminous legs and gloriously deep pockets, this easy, breezy outfit-in-one is the perfect combination of comfy and effortlessly cool. There are four bodice variations to pick from: a low straight neckline with wide straps, a scoop-neck, a simple V-neck, or a V-neck plus curving collar. Each bodice is beautifully finished with self-lining. Named after the idyllic California seaside town of colourful cottages and celebrities going incognito, Carmel has the capacity to be the epitome of easy elegance (picture a dark linen version paired with eye-catching jewellery and a broad-brimmed hat…) or wildly fun (romp around in a big crazy print!).

150 cm (60″) wide fabric: Scoop/V-neck, 3 – 3.2 m (3 1/4 – 3 1/2 yd) // Strappy, 2.6 – 2.9 m (2 7/8 – 3 1/4 yd).

115 cm (44″) wide fabric: Scoop/V-neck, 4.1 – 4.5 m (4 1/2 – 5 yd) // V-neck w/o collar, 3.7 – 4.5 m (4 – 5 yd) // Strappy, 3.7 – 3.9 m (4 – 4 1/4 yd).

Sizes 16 – 28

150 cm (60″) wide fabric: Scoop/V-neck, 3.6 – 4 m (4 – 4 1/2 yd) // Strappy, 3.5 m (3 7/8 yd).

115 cm (44″) wide fabric: Scoop/V-neck, 5.5 – 5.9 m (6 – 6 1/2 yd) // Strappy, 4.5 m (5 yd).

Sizing: UK 6 – 20 or UK 16 – 28 (approx. UK 6 – 20 or UK 18 – 28, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size charts and finished garment measurements.

The 6 – 20 pattern is drafted for a B cup. The 16 – 28 pattern has both B and D cup options.

Sizes 6 – 20: Scoop or V-neck options: 46 cm (18″) concealed zip // Strappy option: 25 cm (10″) concealed zip; 30 cm (12″) of fusible interfacing (to support the neckline).

Sizes 16 – 28: Scoop or V-neck options: 51 cm (20″) concealed zip // Strappy option: 30 cm (12″) concealed zip; 30 cm (12″) of fusible interfacing (to support the neckline).
