Buy the Men’s Alvalade Trousers sewing pattern from Liesl + Co. These classic men’s trousers look like dress pants but feel more like sweatpants. Designed for woven fabrics with some stretch, it’s the details that make these trousers special. They include a classic zipper fly with zipper shield, angled front pockets with a concealed change pocket, back darts, back welt pockets, and a waistband with elastic side panels. The inseam is moved forward to give you truly comfortable and well-fitting trousers for every occasion, from relaxing on the sofa to a day in the office.

Suggested fabrics: This pattern works best with lightweight trouser fabrics like cotton twill, canvas, and wool suiting with at least a little stretch. (They’ll be more comfortable with a stretch fabric, although they can be made using fabric without stretch.)
Fabric requirements: 44″ (112 cm) wide fabric: 2 3/4 – 4 1/2 yd (2.5 – 4.1 m) // 58″ (147 cm) wide fabric: 2 – 3 yd (1.8 – 2.7 m).
Sizing: Men’s 30 – 53. Please check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.
Notions: Coordinating thread; lightweight fusible interfacing; zipper (9″ or longer); one 5/8″ button; one hook and bar closure; 3/4 yd of 1″-1 1/8″ elastic.
