Fibre Mood Vinny Jacket

Buy the Vinny Jacket sewing pattern from Fibre Mood. This mid-season jacket has the classic bomber collar and elasticated hem and sleeve cuffs, but the pleated sleeves and patch pocket on the left sleeve give it that something extra! Vinny has practical welt pockets with a flap, though you can omit these if you feel like a more straightforward sew. You can also hack the pattern into a sleeveless vest, finishing the armholes with bias tape.

Suggested fabrics: There are many fabrics that are suitable for Vinny, from a woven woollen coat fabric to a knitted woollen (jacquard) jersey, as well as jumper fabric, punta di roma, scuba or neoprene. Satin, embroidered fabrics, woven jacquard, imitation leather and felt will create a completely different effect, but are just as beautiful.

Fabric requirements: 110 cm wide fabric: 230 – 350 cm // 140 cm wide fabric: 170 – 320 cm.

Sizing: XS – XXXL (approx. UK 6 – 28/30, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and pattern measurements.

Notions: Iron-on interfacing, max. 85 cm; 2 snap fasteners, 1.5 cm diameter; open-end zip (see chart); elastic, 5 cm wide (see chart); bias tape, folded width 1.8 cm (only for sleeveless version, see chart).
