Buy the Marah Skirt sewing pattern from Fibre Mood. Two autumn trends in one sewing project! After cargo trousers, this season is all about cargo skirts, and denim skirts are popping up everywhere. But of course Marah keeps all options open. Denim isn’t a must, and you can adjust the length according to your preference. Make a maxi skirt with a long slit in the centre back or a cool mini skirt. And the pockets? You decide that too. Go for the maximum number –  pockets with flaps on the side seam, back pockets, and curved front pockets – or just leave them off. In short, this skirt with a shaped waistband, zip closure, and belt loops is an autumn project not to be missed.

Suggested fabrics: Denim is an absolute top choice, but other sturdy fabrics such as cotton twill, (fine) corduroy, polycotton, faux leather or nylon will also work.

Fabric requirements: 

Maxi skirt: 110 cm wide fabric: 260 – 315 cm // 140 cm wide fabric: 190 – 270 cm.

Mini skirt: 110 cm wide fabric: 115 – 205 cm // 140 cm wide fabric: 85 – 140 cm.

Sizing: EU 32 – 60 / US 0 – 28 / UK 4 – 32 (approx. UK 6 – 28/30, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and pattern measurements.

Notions: Iron-on interfacing, max. 70 cm; 1 button, 1.8 cm diameter; closed-end zip, 15 cm for sizes 4-18 or 18 cm for sizes 20-32; lining fabric or lighter weight fabric, max. 25 cm.
