Buy the Madou Jacket sewing pattern from Fibre Mood. Country vibes, lumberjack, trucker – it makes no difference. Madou is always you. This overshirt is for making and wearing without much ado. Denim, checked flannel, plain, sturdy linen – it’s all good. Just take your pick. The same goes for the length. The long, narrow chest pockets are shoo-in crowd-pleasers, and the two rows of topstitching throughout are a must.

Suggested fabrics: Madou looks great in loads of different fabrics. Prefer a jacket with good structure? Go for cotton twill, denim, or stretch cotton. Looking for a design with a more fluid drape and softer look? Try linen, Tencel, or gabardine.

Fabric requirements: 

Long version: 110 cm wide fabric: 205 – 290 cm // 140 cm wide fabric: 165 – 220 cm.

Short version: 110 cm wide fabric: 155 – 235 cm // 140 cm wide fabric: 130 – 175 cm.

Sizing: XS – XXXL (approx. UK 6 – 28/30, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and pattern measurements.

Notions: Thread; iron-on interfacing, max. 75 cm; buttons, 2 cm diameter, 5-6 for long version or 4-5 for short version.
