Buy the B6870 Vintage Dress sewing pattern from Butterick. It’s perfect for an advanced beginner/intermediate dressmaker. Slim or full skirted dress has cutaway cape collar and buttoned bodice. View A has contrast, detachable collar, below elbow sleeves and peg top skirt. View B has contrast ribbon in back, no overcollar and short sleeves.

Suggested fabrics: Shantung, Faille, Crepe, Sheer or Lightweight Wools, Linen, Pique, Cotton Broadcloth. Interfacing: Lightweight Fusible. Interfacing (for Belt): Belting.

Sizing: A5 (6-8-10-12-14), E5 (14-16-18-20-22), which is approx. UK sizes A5 (4/6 – 10), E5 (10 – 18/20) based on our standardised size chart. Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.
