Kate’s Sewing Patterns Athena Dress

Buy the Athena Dress sewing pattern from Kate’s Sewing Patterns. Athena is a loose fitting dress with a slit at the centre front neckline. The neckline has gathers. There is a casing with elastic along the waistline. The voluminous 3/4 length sleeves have elastic at the bottom. Note the pattern does not include pieces for the bottom ruffle (see the first technical image); the width for each size is indicated in the instructions, and you can cut any length to create a mini, knee length, midi or maxi dress.

Suggested fabrics: Drapey fabrics in viscose, silk, cotton.

Fabric requirements: 1.4 m wide fabric: 1.8 - 2.3 m (WITHOUT BOTTOM RUFFLE).

Sizing: EU 34 – 54 (approx. UK 4/6 – 18/20, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: One button or hook for front neckline; approx. 1 m of 1 cm wide elastic for the waist and sleeves; thread.
