Not just for crafters!

This was simple to make but only after I watched YouTube videos to make sense of it. It’s not that the instructions are rubbish, I just couldn’t figure out how it all came together! But it has and it’s taken me less than 3 hours to finish.

As I’ve made it for my dad for all of his medication, I didn’t bother with the grommets, but I can see how they would be really useful if this was indeed made for a knitter. Again, omitting the grommets, this would be a great wash bag too. I might make one and use a shower curtain to line it!

My only “meh” about it (hence 4 stars instead of 5) is the top casing for the drawstrings (actually that’s another meh – not until the instructions on how to feed the drawstrings through, does it mention how much you need (2 x 36 inch lengths)) is the fabric is folded over. So you essentially end up with the inside of the fabric showing. I wasn’t keen on that and as I’d used a fairly soft denim I decided to use a double layer with the wrong sides together. This resulted in the inside looking lovely and the drawstring channel looking the same as the rest of the outside of the bag.

Will definitely make more – I can see them being very useful for camping, holidays etc, not just for crafting!
