Butterick sleepwear 5792

I made this night dress for my sister in law who recently had a baby. I have used the pattern several times before and I like the pin-tuck detail on the front. I made the size Large - it is a very roomy fit through the body so you really just need to get the fit through the bust right. You can always take in the side seams later based on your preference.

I made it in a really lovely soft brushed cotton twill. I added a front opening placket with pearl snap fasteners so that she could feed the baby. I left off the neck frill as I tried that on my first version and found it to be a right faff, and that it flopped out in a strange way!

This is a quick make and the instructions are good. I think this is a good value pattern for the number of night dress options you get, and a two-piece pyjama set. More info on my blog >> http://holmsown.co.uk/butterick-b5792-brushed-cotton-nightdress/
