Waves & Wild Baby/Child Beach Bummies

Buy the Baby/Child Beach Bummies sewing pattern from Waves & Wild. This is a super simple but hugely versatile pattern. Beach Bummies are perfect for loungewear, sleepwear, gymnastics, dancing and playing! There are slim fitting and relaxed options, plus additional pattern pieces for little ones in cloth nappies. You can choose from a jersey waistband or elastic, and there are several ways to finish the legs. There is also the option to add a semi-circle skirt.

Suggested fabrics: Light/medium weight knit fabric. 4-way stretch is best for all options. 2-way stretch is fine for the relaxed options only, providing it has good stretch and return. Cotton/Lycra jersey is ideal. Good stretch and return is especially important for the waistband. 50% stretch or higher is recommended for all options.

Fabric requirements: 140 cm (55") wide fabric: One-piece bummies, 40 - 70 cm (1/2 - 3/4 yd) // Two- or four-piece bummies, 30 - 50 cm (3/8 - 5/8 yd) // Skirt, add 30 - 110 cm (1/4 - 1 1/4 yd).

If you are using a non-directional fabric, you may need less.

Sizing: Preemie/small newborn – 12 years. Please check the size chart.

Notions: Elastic waist option: 20 mm (3/4") elastic for 6-12 months and younger or 25 mm (1") elastic for age 1 and up.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4/legal/letter print-at-home pattern (29 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (2 sheets); projector pattern. This pattern has layers so you can print just the sizes(s) you need.
