The fabulous Frances Dress

I love the versatility of this dress pattern. It has so many options, between skirt length, neckline, back and sleeve options. You could make so many of them and they would all look different.
I made mine in a beautiful French Terry fabric as I was looking for a dress to wear in the colder months. It took a lot of stripe matching but it was SO worth it.
I sewed it on the Overlocker and didn't make any adjustments, the fit was perfect for me.
Definitely making more of these

Frances Shirt and Dress PDF review

This is a beautiful dress pattern that I wanted to make as soon as I saw it. Chose for the version with 3/4 sleeves and medium deep back neck. The fabric I used was a thick-ish jersey and I love the result, it is a sort of heavy (the skirt has a lot of fabric) but very comfortable dress.

I did not change much to the pattern, except that I didthe neck binding with jersey bias tape.

What I like a lot is that the pockets are cut on the skirt, instead of sewn on. This makes it feel much more secure, without the extra seams. (I don’t have a serger and use a light zigzag stitch)
