My ideal jumper

I've made two of these short tops in a couple of days. This is the first with exposed seams. The second was made using a textured jersey. I love both of them and will make many more, I'm sure.

I like the way the collar stands away from the body and the fact that no finishing of seams is required (if using fleece as I did, or boiled wool, or ponte roma). It's very quick to sew and requires only 1.5 metres of fabric.

I reduced the amount of swing on the side seams and found the length to be perfect for me (I'm 5' 2"). I also sized down so you may wish to consider that. I think any pattern that can make fleece look dressy is definitely one to have in your arsenal.
