First Blazer attempt

This was my first blazer and first sewing pattern from The Avid Seamstress although I had made about three lined jackets before. I took 2.5cm of the length between the bust and waist and about 6 cm off the sleeves as I didn’t want the turn ups. The pattern comes together really well. For the most part the instructions are good. There is a mixture of text and clear photos but often it’s not actually clear which instruction the photo goes with. I did have to resort to you tube to make sense of the collar instructions but then all was fine. There is a lot to ease in on the sleeve, this took an age to get right but I am happy with the end result. It really is a slow make, over 30 pieces to cut but if you are ready for a challenge I would recommend the pattern.
