Confusion rains supreme in these patterns

This is an absolute nightmare of a pattern.  The pattern consisted of 2 different pattern purchases, depending on whether you want certain features that are in the extension pattern.  This meant that, to start with, I spent twice the usual amount on just the patterns.  Then, the instructions were in several different places, and required a lot of skipping around to figure out what pattern piece and what instruction section to use.  I think they expected praise for their instructions, but they needed to have a test market first, because main sections made no sense at all.  The real downfall of the pattern, for me, was that putting the waistband on for the side with the fly guard was impossible to figure out, no matter which of the 3-4 sets of instructions I looked at.  I'm not a beginner, but I'm left with feeling like a failure.  I have spent far too much on test fabric and patterns, time, and patience, and have not come out with anything worth wearing!  Best of luck to those who want to try this set of patterns.
