What we think: We love the classic tailoring touches in this pattern. Because it's fairly fitted, we'd suggest making a toile.

Suggested fabrics: Light to medium weight soft woven fabric. The double-layered top requires a fabric that is not too thick or stiff. Cotton and viscose are safe choices.

Fabric requirements: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: 260 cm (3 yd) (Note: 200 cm (2 1/4 yd) are enough for sizes 34-38) // Lining: 40 cm wide x 30 cm (16″ x 12″).

Sizing: EU 34 – 46 (approx. UK 6 – 16). Please check the size chart.

Notions: Matching thread; fusible interfacing, 110 cm wide x 30 cm (43.5″ x 12″); invisible zipper, 50 cm (19.7″); two 1 cm (0.4″) buttons.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; pattern files for A0, A4, and US letter size paper.

Geri In Stitches
A Unique, Chic Cocktail Jumpsuit

I love the end result but I give four stars because the instructions were mind-boggling for me at times. But I love the design, especially the unique triangular cut-out in the back. For more details and pictures, go to my blog post: Geri In Stitches.

Oh la la Jumpsuit

Inspired by the #sewtogetherforsummer2019 jumpsuit challenge, I had this cut out forever but finally sewed it this weekend and I'm so glad I did.

Modifications:
- added 2" to the leg. The model is 5'6" but my limbs are quite long so the extra length is needed
- switched out the back welt pockets to patch pockets (I used my Ginger jeans pocket) - I don't have a lot of curve so extra fabric on the butt helps!
- I used a lightweight denim, which is still heavier and less drapey than recommended so I lined with a quilting cotton.
- Shockingly, I didn't have any problems fitting the bust despite being a D-cup but perhaps because it's actually quite blousey.

Hints: measure yourself very carefully and measure the patten pieces for length. I made a size 36 and luckily, I fit but exactly so. There is very little room or ease since the seams are 3/8" and the pants are quite fitted, despite the pleating. The top part is more forgiving.

I would absolutely sew this again maybe in a linen or wool crepe but will decide based on how much I end up wearing this one! ?
