Melilot Miriam Jacket

Buy the Miriam Jacket sewing pattern from Melilot. A plain and elegant jacket, perfect for wearing over a dress. Miriam is great for both formal and casual occasions. Choose between a ribbon or a button and elastic for the closure at the waist. The pattern includes two sleeve options: a gathered short sleeve and a plain long sleeve. You can also lengthen Miriam to make a longer jacket or a dress as shown in the image gallery.

Suggested fabrics: A mid-weight to lightweight fabric is recommended, such as viscose, tencel/lyocell, cotton, linen, silk or wool. The gathering along the waist might look bulky in a thick fabric, so make sure the fabric works well in layers and has a good drape.

Fabric requirements: 140 cm wide fabric: Sizes 32-42, 1.4 m // Sizes 44-48, 1.7 m // Sizes 50-54, 2 m // Sizes 56-64, 2.2 m.

Sizing: EU 32 – 64 (approx. UK 6 – 34/36, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart.

Notions: 0.6-1.2 m (waist measurement) of 0.5-1 cm wide elastic OR 1.5-2 m of ribbon; hook or button (optional, for elasticated waist); 10 cm of fusible interfacing.
