Farris features cute grown-on sleeves, a V neckline and angled bust darts. Choose the short pant to make a fun playsuit/romper, or use the long, wide-legged pant to make an elegant jumpsuit. The pant falls straight from the hip, with the shorts ending mid-thigh and the long leg falling to just above the ground (perfect for wearing flats). The Farris pattern in the Curve size range also includes an additional back pant option for those needing more room in the seat.

Farris sports the same comfortable drawstring waistline as her sister patterns, the Mayberry Dress and Quincy Dress. Become your own designer by mixing and matching tops and bottoms between all three patterns, creating an almost endless number of perfect dresses, jumpsuits and playsuits!

Suggested fabrics: The Farris Jumpsuit and Playsuit is suitable for a wide range of lightweight woven fabrics with some drape. Rayon, silks, crepes and other slinky fabrics suit Farris perfectly. You can also choose any of your favourite fabrics from cotton lawn, voile and poplin to linen and light chambray, denim or even pinwale corduroy (baby cord).

Jumpsuit: 115 cm (45") wide fabric: Sizes 6 - 14, 3.75 m (4.1 yd) / Sizes 16 - 24, 4.25 m (4.64 yd) / Sizes 26 - 34, 4.5 m (4.92 yd) // 150 cm (60") wide fabric: Sizes 6 - 14, 3 m (3.28 yd) / Sizes 16 - 24, 3.75 m (4.1 yd) / Sizes 26 - 34, 4 m (4.37 yd).

Playsuit: 115 cm (45") wide fabric: Sizes 6 - 14, 2.5 m (2.73 yd) / Sizes 16 - 24, 3 m (3.28 yd) / Sizes 26 - 34, 3.25 m (3.55 yd) // 150 cm (60") wide fabric: Sizes 6 - 14, 1.75 m (1.91 yd) / Sizes 16 - 24, 2.5 m (2.73 yd) / Sizes 25 - 34, 2.75 m (3 yd).

Sizing: UK 6 – 24 with A - D cups or UK 16 – 34 with C - F cups. Please check the size charts and finished garment measurements.

Note: There is a crossover of 2 cups (C and D) and 5 sizes (16 – 24) between the Original and Curve size ranges. The Original and Curve patterns are based on two different blocks, and because of this, the shape, ease and proportions of the crossover patterns vary depending on the block used. Please check both size charts if you fall into this range.

To determine your cup size, wear supportive undergarments, then keeping your tape measure parallel to the floor (make sure it is not dipping at the back), measure both your full bust (the widest part of your bust, all the way around) and your high bust (the upper part of your bust around and under the arm pits). Use the difference between these measurements to determine your approximate cup size: A cup = 1 cm (3/8″), B cup = 3 cm (1 1/4″), C cup = 5 cm (2″), D cup = 7.5 cm (3″), E cup = 10 cm (4″), F cup = 12.5 cm (4 7/8″). Then, to determine your bodice size, find your full bust measurement (or closest to) along your corresponding cup row on the size chart.

Farris is drafted for an average height of 170 cm (5’7″).

Notions: Lightweight fusible interfacing, approx. 54 cm x 70 cm (24 1/2" x 26 3/4"); four buttons or snap buttons, 2 cm (3/4") wide; length of cord, bias binding, etc. for drawstring; thread.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4/US letter print-at-home pattern (75 pages for sizes 6-24 or 60 pages (pants) and 56 pages (bodice) for sizes 16-34); A0 copy shop pattern (4 sheets for sizes 6-24 or 6 sheets for sizes 16-34). This pattern has layers so you can select your size(s) before printing.
