Buy the Hermes Shirt and Dress sewing pattern from I AM Patterns. I am a chic and classic shirt. I don't need to be introduced, as you've known me for a while and love all aspects of my style. I can be made in three lengths: shirt, tunic or dress.

This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following formats:

Suggested fabrics: Poplin, batiste, cotton twill and flannel, modal, viscose.

Fabric requirements:

Shirt: 140 cm (60") wide fabric: Sizes 36-40, 1.6 m (1 3/4 yd) // Sizes 42-46, 2 m (2 1/4 yd).

Tunic: 140 cm (60") wide fabric: Sizes 36-40, 1.9 m (2 yd) // Sizes 42-46, 2.7 m (3 yd).

Dress: 140 cm (60") wide fabric: Sizes 36-40, 2 m (2 1/4 yd) // Sizes 42-46, 2.8 m (3 yd).

Sizing: EU 36 - 46 (approx. UK 6 - 14). Please check the size chart.

Notions: Iron-on interfacing, 20 cm x 70 cm wide (8" x 30" wide); 1 cm (3/8") buttons: 10 for shirt, 12 for tunic, 13 for dress.

Hermes Shirt - I Am Patterns

I loved making this, it is fairly simple for a first shirt and I love the length. One of those where each step makes you smile because you can't believe you are actually making a shirt! I took the dart out after a first muslin because it needed moving down and I just thought it was maybe not needed given the oversized shape....I will be making this again, there are so many nice cotton lawns out there which work with this kind of shape. Love it!
