Buy the Dani Jacket sewing pattern from Atelier Jupe. Dani will keep you cosy and warm this autumn and winter! This jacket is perfect for a nice teddy or quilted fabric. You can make Dani just the way you like it: with a zipper or snap button placket, and with a hood or collar. Or why not make more than one? Dani has a slightly oversized cut, dropped shoulders, and handy pockets, and is fully lined for a neat finish on the inside.

This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following formats:

– PAPER (next working day dispatch on orders and FREE UK delivery over £50). Note for the PAPER pattern: The pattern pieces overlap and are printed on both sides of the sheet, so you will need to trace the pattern. If you prefer a ready-to-cut pattern, try the PDF or copy shop version as the pieces do not overlap.

– PDF (available to download immediately after purchase). What is a PDF?

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Cosy and oversized

I bought this pattern soon after release as I’d had a borg/teddy fleece in my fabric stash for over 3 years.
The paper pattern has multiple pattern pieces overlapping so tracing is essential. Pattern instructions come in French, Dutch and English and although I know all three languages, the instructions were sometimes too brief, needing to search for a sewalong on YouTube to be able to proceed, especially when attaching button plackets and sewing the hem.

Perhaps my fabric is bulkier than Atelier Jupe’s own teddy fleece, but there was no way I could turn this coat through a smallish gap in the sleeve seam as suggested!

The design is meant to be oversized, sizing based on bust measurements, which I followed, but it would still have been roomy if I’d sized down two sizes.

Overall, it was a relatively straightforward sew for a fully lined jacket with a hood, though details such as a hanging loop would have been a good addition.
