The Cambria Duster Coat

Friday Pattern Company

Buy the Cambria Duster sewing pattern by The Friday Pattern Company, it’s a versatile and staple fall piece. The coat has a dramatic, wide draped shawl-style collar. It is shin length, unlined and perfect for layering. Tie back the ties for a clean, shapely look, or wrap them around the front for a little more coverage.

Suggested fabrics: This pattern is designed for woven fabrics but can be made out of a knit as well. It would look great made in anything with a bit of drape like a rayon twill, gabardine, rayon challis, etc. It would also look good in something a little warmer with more body, like a light wool or a boucle!

5 out of 5 Navy cambria duster - a great simple jacket!

I really enjoyed this pattern, I found it very simple and strightforward to make. I’ve never made any kind of jacket or coat before but this has no closures or complex details!

I feel very elegant and sleek in the jacket, and I can wear it three different ways depending on how I feel/how cold it is!
