Stella Raglan Shirt

This is a quick and satisfying sew. I really like the curved raglan sleeves and will make this in a solid / less-busy fabric so the style lines really stand out. I would caution anyone who isn’t flat hipped to evaluate or flat measure the pattern at the hip — it really slims down despite the roominess of the upper bodice and raglan sleeves. There isn'[t a finished garment measurement for the blouse and believe me — the dress finished measurement will not help you. And the snaps!! I love not having to create buttonholes. Snaps/poppers are so quick to install and a free frustration outlet.

I definitely plan to make this blouse again but if I use a less drapey fabric, I will consider keeping the french seams as specified but I would sew a serged seam just at the immediate underarm area. This seam is very curved. Although my fabric did work, if it were any heavier, it would be difficult to get it to lie smoothly because neither of the pieces is cut on the bias.

I will also make versions of this blouse with a simple or peter pan collar and consider using buttons or perhaps drafting a hidden placket.
