This fit-and-flare dress features front and back princess seams in the bodice, and a full skirt with inverted box pleats. You can choose to keep it at midi length, or lengthen or shorten the skirt for a different look. Options are included for A, B, C, D and DD cups.

Suggested fabrics:

Primary fabric: Lightweight to medium weight woven fabric. Twill, broadcloth, chambray, and linen are great choices. Do not use fabric narrower than 56″ (142 cm) as the front and back skirts are too wide to be cut on narrower fabric.

Lining: Lightweight, stable woven fabric such as cotton. The lining is for the pockets.

Fabric requirements:

Primary fabric: 56″ (142 cm) wide fabric: Cap sleeve option, 2 5/8 – 2 7/8 yd (240 – 260 cm) // Flare sleeve option, 2 7/8 – 3 1/8 yd (260 – 290 cm).

Lining: 44″ (115 cm) wide fabric: 3/8 yd (40 cm).

Sizing: US 00 – 20 (approx. UK 8 – 22). Please check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

A note from the designer about bust cup options: To determine your cup size, subtract the circumference of your over bust from the circumference of the fullest part of your bust. If the rounded difference is 1″ (2.5 cm), use A cup; 2″ (5 cm), use B cup; 3″ (7.5 cm), use C cup; 4″ (10 cm), use D cup; 5″ (12.5 cm), use DD cup.

Notions: Lightweight to medium weight fusible woven or weft insertion interfacing; nine 1/2″ (1.25 cm) buttons or snaps; 47″ (120 cm) of 1/2″ (1.25 cm)-wide fusible stay tape (or cut your own on straight grain).

PDF pattern includes: Step-by-step illustrated instructions; US letter/A4 print-at-home pattern (73 pages, but you only need to print the pages for your cup size); A0 copy shop pattern (4 sheets, but you only need to print the sheets for your cup size) // Layers: Yes // Projector file: No.
