Buy the Emery Dress sewing pattern from Christine Haynes. The Emery Dress is a classic “fit and flare” design with a fitted bodice and full skirt. The fully-lined bodice is shaped with darts at the bust, waist, and back of the neck, and closes with an invisible zipper up the centre back seam. The knee-length gathered skirt features in-seam pockets that are sewn into the waist seam to stay in place, and a 1 1/2″ hem. Choose either View A with short set-in sleeves and an optional flat vintage-inspired bow at the centre waist, or View B with 3/4-length set-in sleeves.

Suggested fabrics: Lightweight and medium weight wovens, such as linen, cotton lawn, shirting, and quilt weight.

View A: 44″ (112 cm) wide fabric: 3 3/4 – 4 yd (3.4 – 3.7 m) // 58″ (147 cm) wide fabric: 3 1/2 yd (3.2 m).

View B: 44″ (112 cm) wide fabric: 3 3/4 – 4 1/4 yd (3.4 – 3.9 m) // 58″ (147 cm) wide fabric: 3 1/4 yd (3 m).

Interfacing for View A: 20″ (50 cm) wide: 1/2 yd (0.5 m).

Sizing: US 0 – 28/30 (approx. UK 6 – 30). Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Thread; 22″ invisible zipper.
