The Costa Tote is perfect for everyday errands and shopping. It includes a lining, making it fully reversible! View A features an asymmetrical pocket design with dividing lines that create a total of four pockets. These pockets are specifically designed for your keys, phone, or sunglasses; a secure storage place for your belongings that doesn’t gape open. You can sport your pockets on the outside or the inside, your choice!
The Costa Tote has a three-dimensional, boxed bottom, which ensures that the bag is roomy enough for everything you need throughout your day. You can mix and match fabrics for the body, lining, and pockets, making Costa a great scrap-buster for sewists of all skill levels. View B is a simple, pocketless tote. It is a quick-to-sew project that works perfectly as a sustainable grocery bag, library tote, or a gym bag.
The Costa Tote is very special to me (Chloe), because it is the first pattern that I have designed for Helen’s Closet! It is so exciting to start with an idea and make it come to life. Also, I learned that pattern design is really fun and creatively fulfilling.
When I was brainstorming what I wanted for Costa, my goal was to create a useful and versatile tote bag with an easy, modern aesthetic. I am so pleased with how it turned out.
We hope you like this fun, useful little bag as much as we do!
