Buy the Chandler Trousers and Shorts sewing pattern from Untitled Thoughts. This pattern is perfect for those just delving into the world of sewing trousers! It has a few bits that will expand your sewing knowledge, but with an easy elastic back waistband, fitting should be a breeze! There are four variations: a pleated front pant, a darted front pant, pleated front shorts, and darted front shorts. Chandler has slash pockets, a faux fly option, and optional belt loops and cuffs.

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). Choose sizes A1-H1, sizes E1-L1, or sizes I1-P1. What is Copy Shop?

Suggested fabrics: Light to mid-weight linen, chambray, cotton poplin, rayon challis, rayon/linen blend, tropical weight wool, wool suiting, silk noil, silk charmeuse, flannel.

Fabric requirements: 

Sizes A1 – H1: 48″ (122 cm) wide fabric: Pants (either view), 2 1/8 – 2 1/2 yd (1.9 – 2.3 m) // Shorts (either view), 1 – 1 1/4 yd (0.9 – 1.1 m).

Sizes I1 – P1: 48″ (122 cm) wide fabric: Pants (either view), 2 1/2 – 3 1/4 yd (2.3 – 3 m) // Shorts (either view), 1 1/2 – 1 3/4 yd (1.4 – 1.6 m).

Sizing: A1 – P1 (approx. UK 6 – 30/32, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Waistband elastic, 1 1/2″-1 3/4″ (3.8-4.4 cm) wide for sizes A1-H1 or 2″-2 1/4″ (5.1-5.7 cm) wide for sizes I1-P1; twill tape, clear elastic, or interfacing (optional).
