Bombshell Swimsuit

What makes the Bombshell so special, is that it basically flatters all body types. I’m pear shaped so I was a bit worried about all the emphasis on the hips. It does emphasise the hips, but somehow it still looks flattering, I think. However, I did find out that a swimsuit (any swimsuit, for that matter) is hard to get on if your hips are (much) bigger than the rest of you! I found the pattern really easy to work with, despite having no prior experience with sewing swimsuits at all. The sewalong on Closet Case Files is also very helpful with picking out fabrics, and materials, and with the construction. I used swimsuit lycra as a main fabric as well as a lining, since I had some trouble sourcing the appropriate lining fabric. That worked out well. I think (as a personal preference) that this pattern looks best in a solid color, since it has so many interesting details!
