Buy the Beverley Wrap and Cape sewing pattern from Pattern Union. Both the wrap and cape can be made to be reversible. They have optional welt pockets that can be sewn on the outer fabric, the lining fabric, or on both the outer and the lining. This pattern is extremely flattering as the front flaps skim the front of the body giving a lovely silhouette. The Beverley Wrap and Cape will take you from day to night, and through warm weather to cool weather as a delightful layering piece.

The Beverley welt pocket is the easiest welt pocket you will ever make – it is almost foolproof!

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Suggested fabrics: Woven fabrics, fur, sequins, wool. When selecting lining fabrics, ensure that they match the drape and fall of the outer fabric (a lining with too much drape will ‘bag’ at the seams).

Fabric requirements: Wrap fabric must be at least 112 cm (45″) wide: 0.8 m (0.9 yd) outer fabric, and 0.8 m (0.9 yd) lining fabric // Cape fabric must be at least 122 cm (48″) wide (wider fabric will be more economical): 2 m (2 yd) outer fabric, and 2 m (2 yd) lining fabric // Welts can be made in a fabric that matches the outer, but it is a good idea to use a lining fabric for the pocket lining.

Sizing: 8 – 26. Please check the size chart. If you have narrow shoulders, you may want to go down a size. Note: Size 6 is NOT included in this pattern, even though it appears on the size chart.

Notions: Iron-on interfacing; a front closure is optional.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions (including a link to an instructional video); print-at-home A4/US letter pattern; A0 copy shop pattern. The A4/US letter pattern has layers, so you can print only the size(s) you need. There is also a handy envelope design to assist with storage and reference.
