Berlin Skirt PDF

Orageuse

£9.00

Buy the Berlin skirt sewing pattern from Orageuse, a pencil skirt with statement pockets.  The pattern features a tapered pencil skirt, in seam pockets and an optional belt tie. It comes in two lengths the first finished below the knee with a slit and the second finished above the knee with a straight hem.

What we think: I (Kate) have made this and loved how it came together, it’s a slightly more relaxed fit than a classic pencil. I wasn’t sure it would suit me so it was a bit of a gamble but I was so pleased with the end result.

Suggested Fabrics: A structured woven like a cotton drill or denim, for a bit more movement something with a small amount of stretch would work well too.

I loved making this pattern, it did take quite a lot of work to get the fit right and I would recommend making a toile before you launch into the real thing. It’s got lots of lovely details was was interesting to make and I learned a few things along the way too which is always nice.

The sizing is a little on the small side and I think I cut out the 16 to get it over the hips and had to alter from there. The instructions are really good and really easy to follow, the pattern suggests lining it but I decided not to for this version. Basically I love it!
