3015 1930s Last Resort Beach PJs review

I was in a rush and on the market for a semiformal setup, and was determined to sew a jumpsuit (so much better than a maxi dress! It has pants!). Anyways, I found this 1930s piece, and immediately fell in love with it.

I decided to use viscose, and apparently there is no solid color (aka black) rayon on the market in Japan. I sadly had to settle for this print, which albeit subdued, I am not crazy for. I hope it will grow on me, because I love this jumpsuit! I am now considering making one in silk twill.

As far as fit is concerned, I have a pretty standard body, and did not make a lot of alterations. The fit is pretty forgiving, and even using a fabric with less drape than viscose would work. The instructions are easy to follow and the construction pretty easy, so I would definitely recommend it to other sewists, including beginners: it is a very elegant piece, effortless, and classy.

In conclusion, this is a very easy and satisfying sew, and I can imagine it would be perfect for a wedding guest, cocktails on a terrace, and even the office (maybe in version B).
