Buy the 205 Gibson Girl Blouse sewing pattern from Folkwear. The Gibson Girl was the ideal of feminine beauty at the turn of the 20th century, and by 1905, the Sears Roebuck catalogue offered 150 versions of this blouse. This high-collar, back-buttoning yoke style is still just as flattering today. Instructions for optional tucks and lace insertion are included.

Suggested fabrics: Soft lightweight fabrics such as batiste, lawn, muslin, or gingham. For View A, cotton calico prints are nice. For View B, fabric must not ravel easily. Silk or challis may be useful.

Fabric requirements: Views A and B: 45″ (115 cm) wide fabric: 2 1/4 – 2 7/8 yd (2.1 – 2.7 m) // 60″ (150 cm) wide fabric: 1 3/4 – 2 1/4 yd (1.6 – 2.1 m).

Sizing: S – 3XL (approx. UK 8 – 28/30). Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Thread; hook and eyes for collar and cuffs; buttons // Lace, 1/2″-3/4″ (1.4-2 cm) wide: View A, for collar and yoke edging: 1 7/8 yd (1.72 m) / View B, for collar only: 1 1/2 yd (1.37 m) / View B, for yoke insertion only: 2 1/4 yd (2.05 m) / View B, for yoke body and sleeves insertion: 9 7/8 yd (9.05 m). Note: Collar may be made with a combination of edgings and insertion, or may take an extra row if narrow lace used.
