1925 Fringe Front Dress (out of print)

Decades of Style

Less is more. Except when it comes to fringe! This simple and sophisticated vintage pattern from 1925 is all about the fringe. Thank goodness this dress pattern finally gives us all an excuse to buy some of the wonderful beaded fringe out there right now.

The dress would also be just as lovely with embroidery along the edge or even without any ornamentation at all. We also see this dress with a contrasting fabric for the overlay; perhaps a beautiful lace to give it a more formal flavor. The possibilities are endless!

The main focus of the dress is the flattering diagonal line of the Applied Front piece (and the fringe only works to emphasize this even more.) It is a slip-over dress with an opening at the left shoulder. It’s a flattering style for full figures.
